About the Library

The library of the Higher Technological Institute in 6th of October serves as one of the cornerstones of the educational process (teacher, student, library). It supports education and scientific research and provides a suitable environment for research and reading by providing up-to-date information sources and high-quality services in the field of engineering. It serves all departments of the institute. The library contains books and references for all scientific departments. It also houses an electronic library with a number of modern electronic books purchased in all engineering specialties at the institute. There is also a department for administrative sciences and languages, as well as a number of religious and literary books that benefit students, faculty members, and staff of the institute. The library is located on the second floor and receives users from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Library services:

First: Reading Service The library provides an air-conditioned room for reading the library's books and references, and another attached room equipped with computers for research, recording, and academic discussions. Second: Guidance and Counseling Service This service is provided through communication between the beneficiary and the library's administrator to facilitate easy and convenient access to the information needed. Third: Current Briefing Service The library keeps the academic departments informed of the library's latest books and academic research, either through personal correspondence or through the institute's website. Fourth: Photocopying Service This service is provided through the institute's photocopying facility. Photocopying no more than 10% of the book's size is permitted. Fifth: Borrowing Service The library provides this service to all categories of beneficiaries after obtaining a library card and following the borrowing rules set forth in the library's bylaws. Sixth: Scientific Research Service The library has a number of internet-connected devices that enable students to conduct scientific research for academic purposes. Seventh: Electronic Services 1 - Students have subscribed to the Knowledge Bank services, and can access the Knowledge Bank through the library's devices. 2 - A special index of purchased e-books is available for search and viewing by all users. 3 - An indexing program is available on the library's search devices through a search page for students and faculty members for all book titles in the library. 4 - Additional services are available to students, such as the ability to register for courses during the registration period at the beginning of each semester.
